Zoe-perry
Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed her role. She did not explore acting as a profession until she reached adulthood because her parents were afraid of the negative effects that stress could cause. Perry was shy in high-school and didn't act. The actress began her acting career in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved from Boston University. Perry started her acting career in New York after graduation, getting small role on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry return to California and find work as an actress in the theater. She appeared on Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was staged in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry appeared in 9 episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. In 2017, Perry had an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal alongside her father. The actress was also featured on the CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. The role was selected through an audition, even though she had a close relationship with the show.
